Do you service motorcycles at my home?

Yes. That is exactly what the mobile service is designed for. We come to your home and carry out your service or repair where the bike is, so you never have to get it to and from a workshop.

Do I need a garage or workshop space?

Accepted Answer

No. We bring the tools and equipment needed to carry out the work. All we ask for is a reasonably level, safe and accessible area around the motorcycle. A driveway or parking space is normally perfectly suitable.

Question 3

Can you work on my bike while I am at work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can service your motorcycle at your home or workplace while you get on with your day. As long as we have access to the bike, the key where required, and a safe place to work, you do not need to stay with us. Once finished you receive your full service report detailing the work carried out, the checks completed and anything we recommend keeping an eye on.

Question 4

Do you supply parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can supply the parts and service items your motorcycle needs, including oil, filters, spark plugs, brake components, batteries and other routine maintenance parts. Any additional parts and costs are confirmed with you before they are fitted.

Can I supply my own parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. If you have already bought parts we are happy to discuss fitting them. They must be correct and suitable for your motorcycle, and we cannot provide a warranty against faults or failure of parts supplied by the customer. If you are unsure what you need, just ask and we can source the correct items.

What happens if the repair cannot be completed mobile?

Most routine servicing, maintenance and repairs can be completed at your location. Occasionally we find a problem that needs specialist equipment, more extensive dismantling or workshop facilities. If that happens we explain exactly what we have found and discuss the best way forward before any further work is carried out. You will not be left wondering what happens next.

Do you work in bad weather?

Light rain is not necessarily a problem, particularly if the bike can be worked on under cover. Some jobs cannot safely or properly be carried out in heavy rain, high winds or severe weather. If the weather makes the job unsafe or risks the quality of the work, we rearrange for a suitable time.

Do you service scooters?

Yes. We service and maintain scooters as well as motorcycles. Commuter scooter, weekend bike, classic machine or something that has been sitting unused in the garage — get in touch and tell us what you have.

Question 9

Do you stamp service books?

Accepted Answer

Yes, where applicable. When we carry out a scheduled service we can complete your service book with the relevant mileage, date and service information. You also receive a detailed digital service report showing what was inspected, what was changed, any measurements recorded and any advisories identified — a far more useful record than a stamp alone.

How far do you travel?

We cover the areas around Weymouth, Dorchester and Wareham in Dorset. If you are unsure whether you are covered, or you are further away, do ask. We can travel outside the normal area by arrangement, although an additional travel charge may apply.

Question 11

Do I need to be at home while you work?

Accepted Answer

No. As long as we can get to the motorcycle, have the key where one is needed, and have a safe place to work, you can be at work or out for the day. We will confirm everything by phone or message and your report arrives digitally afterwards.

How much space do you need?

Accepted Answer

Roughly a single parking space around the bike, on reasonably level ground. A driveway, hardstanding or a quiet parking area is normally ideal. If the bike lives in a shared car park or on the street, tell us when you enquire and we will let you know honestly whether it will work.

Question 13

What happens to the old oil and parts?

Accepted Answer

We take them away with us. Waste oil, filters and old components are removed from your property and disposed of through the correct trade waste routes. You are not left with anything to get rid of.

Will servicing here affect my warranty?

Accepted Answer

For most machines outside the manufacturer's own warranty period there is no issue at all. Where a bike is still within manufacturer warranty, servicing must be carried out to the schedule with suitable parts — we can do that, record it in full and stamp the book, but do check your specific warranty terms and we will happily talk it through first.

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer or card payment once the work is complete and you are happy. Nothing is taken up front and nothing beyond the agreed work is fitted without your say-so.

What if I need to cancel or move the booking?

Accepted Answer

Just let us know as early as you reasonably can and we will move it, no fuss. We would rather rearrange than have you rushing or the job done badly in poor conditions.
